Awesome interview with Beth Mauder at ZDNet about ExpressVPN's Lightway
I recently had the opportunity to talk with Beth Mauder at ZDNet about Lightway and ExpressVPN. A key topic was of course Lightway which had just gone to full production and has also been released as Open Source. We also talked about what makes Lightway special, and what is it that makes ExpressVPN so unique in the industry.
Lastly we discussed what role a VPN plays in the modern world and why should people use one. I think of a VPN as just good Internet hygiene really - you wash your hands before you prepare food, and you should turn on your VPN before you access the Internet. Even if you "have nothing to hide", it's still no one elses business that you spend most of your time on Facebook or Twitter. Just as we build fences around our gardens to avoid people staring in, so too can a VPN give us similar privacy for what we do online.
Anyway, I had a great time doing the interview and I hope you find it interesting too:
I think Lightway has the potential to really impact the VPN industry and I can't wait to see where we take it next!
